The Aspen House Big Breakfast
These are variations on a traditional breakfast theme and there is a huge choice!
Best local dry-cured bacon
Bacon just like it used to taste!
Either from Gordon Tudge’s Berkshire pigs
or from Martin Soble’s Oxford & Sandy Blacks
Grilled hand made pork sausages
An exceptionally fine taste from
either Berkshire or Oxford & Sandy Black pork
Sautéed creamy mushrooms
Fresh chestnut button mushrooms, sautéed in a crème fraiche and herb sauce
Home made baked beans
haricot beans slowly baked with tomatoes and smoked ham
Cheese flops
Melt-in-the-mouth cheese-filled potato cakes
flavoured with garden chives
Aspen House eggs
Collected fresh from two local farms
and steam-fried in butter, these are fried eggs to die for
Home made bread and a selection of preserves
The bread may be seeded breakfast bread, wholemeal sourdough
or rye bread with caraway, depending on our mood.
All served with our own jams and marmalades
or local honey
Fair Trade tea, coffee and Herefordshire apple juice
